Board rules

These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on Primal Wolf Designs. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.

  1. TL;DR

    1. Don't act like a chowderhead and people won't treat you like one. #
    2. Treat others the way that you would have them treat you. #
    3. Be the change you want to see in the world around you. #
    4. No hotlinking or otherwise burning up this websites resources to support your own. (Looking at you, Roll20.) #Dundjinni #

  2. Family Friendly

    1. Children of all ages may browse through these assets. Keep the Public Areas free of pornography, sexual innuendo and cussing. #
    2. Do not post anything crude, vulgar or horrific. This website has a horror section with semi-realistic mutilated corpses, blood splatters and bones. However, actual animal / human gore is banned. #
    3. Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness is a way of life. We have zero tolerance for racism or stereotyping people based on ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or politics. Is "ZERO" clear enough? #
    4. Respect is earned, not worn on the sleeve like an arm-band. The Content Creators listed here deserve to be revered for their charity. Most creators place a premium value on constructive criticism, however, you are not free to attack, degrade, or insult them or the community. #
    5. The RPG Community's GREATEST strength is its unity and willingness to help one another! Try to remain respectful of other community members and try to be courteous when explaining your perspective. #
    6. The goal of communication is to transmit your thoughts and ideas with crystal clarity. Avoid all slang and abbreviations that aren't inherent in the genre. This is a global forum, and translation engines are confounded by even simple abbreviations. #

  3. Herd Management

    1. There is more content to be cataloged for the community than it's possible to catalog. We have zero tolerance for spammers trying to circumvent anti-spam methods to fill the forums with ads.. or social engineer your way around said methods. Don't start none, and there won't be none. #
    2. Please don't feed the trolls. Please. Their goal is to get you to "flame them" so that they can have a heated debate. There's one in every crowd, as they say. If you think a post is intended to mislead or divide people in the community, feel free to get a Moderator involved at the earliest convenience. #
    3. If you get temp-banned for bad behavior, likely the other person got temp-banned as well. Don't create extra accounts to be subversive. Use the time to change gears, go do something else for a while and chill. ;) #
    4. Impersonation of a Community Member from these forums, in any mode of communication, is strictly prohibited and will result in a banning. You do you. #
    5. Every spring, the forum moderators WILL be going through and pruning the 'fluffy nonsense' out, so that there's more room for collecting RPG content. That's why we're here.. to build a community to help maintain the world's greatest RPG Asset resource. #

  4. Guidelines Really

    1. Nothing, NOTHING irritates Community Members more than someone joining a Forum to ask a question that's already been answered 942 times. SEARCH. Dig around and read a few threads related to your topic of interest to get a feel for what has already been answered, and what hasn't. #
    2. On the flip side of the coin, DO keep all conversations, questions and advice in the public forums which might someday help someone else. That really is the purpose of a forum, to archive those discussions that might be valuable to other Community Members at a later date. #
    3. Topic Titles should be as short as possible while communicating clearly. People tend to ignore topics with a title that runs off the end of the page, or sounds like nonsense. #
    4. Even with good intentions, Forum Signatures tend to clog up threads with repetitive nonsense of one form or another. Instead, we will add a plethora of Forum Ranks to indicate status, type, station, etc. etc. Forum Ranks are located in the same little box with the user name and avatar on each post. Simply hover over them to get the needed information, or check the user's profile page. That IS why the user profile pages exist. ;) #
    5. Certain corporations in the RPG genre are about as community minded as a rotten potato.. we still cannot and will not support measures which circumvent copyright methods. We're not going to waste time on ridiculous DRM measures, either. We support free and open-source content and community oriented licensing structures. Each Content Creator has very serious and personal feelings about which content they want to share openly with the world, and which content was a chore to create. They absolutely deserve to be able to monetize their content when and how they like. #
